Spending Down Time at Ocean Suites

In this very busy and stressful world, we all need to unwind. And sometimes, the best way to do so is to spend time somewhere nice all by ourselves.

Ocean Suites Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to spend my down time-slash-me time. I stayed here a few weeks ago, during my first day in Bohol.

I wanted to have a seaview room, but they were fully-booked, which is why I had to settle with a superior room. It was nice, comfortable, clean, and quite big for one person staying. The only problem I had with it was that the TV was too small and too far. Not ideal for someone who’s nearsighted! Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my movie marathon. Haha.

This is the upper pool and lounge area.

During the afternoon, I went up to the restaurant to have my “snacks”. Yes, this whole pizza. The group of tourists in the next table looked at me with judging eyes while I gobbled down this three-cheese pizza all by myself. lol

Another lounge area and pool in the lower level of the hotel. The establishment is quite spacious!

Watching the sunset from the lower pool didn’t give me the best view, but I chose to remain there because it was more peaceful. The upper pool is also where the restaurant is, so there were a lot of people there.

All in all, I’d rate Ocean Suites 9/10. I liked my room and the relaxing ambience. Plus, staying at the hotel comes with a breakfast buffet! #BecauseOnePlateIsntEnough lol

The hotel is quite easy to spot. It’s located beside the Blood Compact Shrine. They offer a free one-way shuttle service, which you can avail upon arrival at the port. But if you want to use it when you check out, you can just ride a cab or tricycle going to the hotel. Just a friendly advice, don’t allow yourself to get ripped off by abusive drivers. Most of them would charge you Php 200 and up if they know you’re a tourist, so find one that will charge you fairly. The fare for the tricycle is really just around Php 20-25.

And that’s it. So, how do you spend your down time? Feel free to tell me all about it!
