When traveling, we usually avoid pricey restaurants to maximize our budget. However, this time, we decided to make an exception since the trip was made to celebrate both our birthdays.
On our first day in Tagaytay, we had dinner at Bag of Beans. What’s great about this place, aside from their delectable dishes, is that it’s conveniently located along the road. You can just ride a jeepney to go there.
So, let’s talk about the food.
I really love their take on this dish. It was simple, yet.. well, I can’t come up with the proper words to describe it. Insanely flavorful, maybe? Yes, that’s probably it.
Creamy and flavorful, just the way I like it. Their Carbonara also had some sort of subtle nutty flavor in it (or maybe I only imagined it), which I liked too.
I like how generous they are with their serving size. And this really had a lot of meat in it. The bread was delicious too!
It was delicious, especially the ice cream. But we ended up shivering because the weather was too cold for this dessert. We didn’t realize the consequence of our impulsive order until we had out first spoonful of ice cream. Haha!
Their menu items are pricey, yes. Try to check online first if you’re traveling on a budget. However, why don’t you give yourself a chance to splurge a bit even for just one meal? I promise you, it’s worth it. 😉
I didn’t get to take photos of the place because it was full and I didn’t want to disturb the other diners. But I found a blog that has photos of the place. Click here.
Bag of Beans is located at General Emilio Aguinaldo Highway Mendez Crossing West, Tagaytay City.
